ICESTA is proud to announce a new milestone in the Southeast Asian market: a state-of-the-art 25-ton-per-day galvanized direct-cooling block ice machine has been successfully installed and commissioned at a large-scale slaughterhouse in the Philippines. This order reinforces ICESTA’s commitment to providing high-capacity, food-safe ice solutions for the global meat processing industry.
The client, a major slaughterhouse in the Philippines, required a reliable and hygienic ice source to rapidly chill carcasses after slaughter. After evaluating multiple suppliers, the customer selected ICESTA’s direct-cooling block ice system for its exceptional energy efficiency, fully automatic operation, and robust all-galvanized construction that ensures long-term corrosion resistance in a demanding wet environment.
“This project highlights the clear advantages of direct-cooling technology over traditional brine systems in food-grade applications,” said an ICESTA project manager. “With zero brine contamination risk and production of crystal-clear, hard block ice, our machines are ideally suited for meat and poultry cooling. The 25-ton-per-day capacity reliably meets the plant’s ice demands during peak processing hours.”
The entire machine features hot-dip galvanization, providing excellent resistance to corrosion and frequent high-pressure washdowns. Paired with an intelligent PLC control system, the plant automatically produces uniform 25 kg ice blocks, significantly reducing labor. ICESTA delivered a complete turnkey solution that is easy to install and simple to operate, saving time and effort — the equipment was ready to use upon arrival.
